NHS Solutions has a new opportunity for an experienced Interim Nurse Leader in Obstetrics. Under the general guidance of the Vice President of Patient Care Services/CNO, the Director of Obstetrics has strategic, fiscal, operational and educational responsibility and accountability for the standards of care and service within the Labor and Delivery Unit. This position provides guidance to achieve defined goals, objectives and outcomes in service, quality, finance, engagement and growth. She/he works collaboratively with the Department of Obstetrics and the Department of Pediatrics to continually evaluate and improve care of patients, as well as with other disciplines and groups to provide the highest quality of care. Responsibilities include all aspects of clinical operations, clinician and patient/family education, customer service, patient safety, financial outcomes, quality outcome management and regulatory compliance.

Key Requirements:

  • 3-5 years in progressive successful leadership experience in an Obstetric/Mother-Baby setting
  • Strong knowledge and experience in a Labor and Delivery setting where decision making, ability to work under dynamic and changing conditions and delegation responsibilities are at the forefront
  • Leadership and Management Skills
