NHS Solutions has an immediate opening for an Interim OR Nurse Leader. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your clinical and management experience to the unit. Our client seeks a candidate with strong clinical experience who can help staff with day to day operations but not circulate. The unit consists of about 80% outpatient cases and uses LEAN methodology so experience with that is a plus. The successful candidate will also be responsible for Anesthesia and SPD. The initial term is expected to be 3-6 months and could go longer.

The Clinical Nurse Manager provides for the delivery of efficient and effective professional nursing care for Surgical Services and ensures that nursing care provided is consistent with established nursing care standards and that care is provided in a safe, appropriate and cost-effective manner. The Clinical Manager is responsible for the supervision, management, and development of staff; for planning, directing and monitoring of unit operations; and for the fiscal management of this.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree – BSN required
  • Current California RN license required
  • BLS required
  • Minimum 5 years of surgical/OR experience
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • At least one year of previous management/supervisory experience
