NHS Solutions has a new opportunity for an Interim Lab Manager in California. The Interim Lab Manager manages the day-to-day activities and resources of the Clinical Laboratory, which provides inpatient and outpatient laboratory services. This position serves as the primary on-site manager in regard to developing, maintaining and administering clinical laboratory policies, processes and procedures. Working within the direction of the Regional Laboratory Director, this position is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, monitoring, controlling, coordinating, integrating, standardizing, assessing and improving the day-to-day business of the Hospital Laboratory.

Key Requirements:

  • Baccalaureate degree in biology or related field
  • Valid California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
  • Masters degree, or equivalent education, in business or hospital administration is desired
  • 5 years of acceptable laboratory science experience, at least 2 of which have included supervisory or leadership responsibility, preferably as a laboratory manager
  • Creating/maintaining an effective organization and efficient work processes
  • Developing policies/processes/procedures
  • Managing financial performance
  • Managing a laboratory information system
  • Managing personnel
  • Regulatory and accreditation compliance
