NHS Solutions has an immediate opening for an interim epidemiology manager for an important client in the Midwest. The successful candidate will plan, implement and oversee the infection prevention and hospital epidemiology program including environmental coordination and monitoring of institutional compliance with related regulatory agencies for assigned hospital(s) and ambulatory site(s), as required. The interim epidemiology manager develops and directs performance improvement initiatives to improve patient systems and reduce health care-associated infections (HAI) and related adverse events. Oversees the surveillance program, analyzes data and contributes feedback of data and performance to respective departments and leadership. Monitors appropriate implementation of isolation protocol and communicates with staff as appropriate.
- BSN or related health field (i.e. Microbiology, Public Health) with knowledge of microbiology, infectious diseases and medical terminology, or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Master’s degree in Occupational Health, Public Health, Health Care Administration or closely related field preferred
- 5 years’ experience in continuous quality improvement, infection control or closely related area
