NHS Solutions has an immediate job opening for an Interim Manager of Environmental Services in California. The Interim Manager Environmental Services is responsible for workflow distribution, scheduling, supervisors, leads, operational budgets and forecasts, regular rounding to ensure federal, state and local regulation compliance as well as assist in special administrative duties. The Interim Manager Environmental Services performs primarily administrative functions including supervisory support, data analysis, and detailed work that allows the Director to perform effectively. The Interim Manager Environmental Services must have thorough knowledge of The Joint Commission, OSHA, and Title 22 regulations. Performs related duties as required.

Key Qualifications:

Experience/Education (One of the following):

  • 1 year of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor
  • 2 years of increasingly responsible experience in a supervisory capacity in a large hospital or other institutional housekeeping department
  • A combination of education and appropriate experience

Key Job Functions:

  • Coordinate the functions of the Housekeeping department with other hospital departments
  • Supervise employees directly and through subordinates
  • Maintain records, analyze data, and prepare reports
  • Plan and assist in directing the work of a large housekeeping department and linen room
  • Utilize principles of effective supervision and personnel management
  • Utilize principles of infection control and safety
  • Utilize the principles of modern institutional housekeeping, including methods, material and equipment; principles and methods of budget preparation for Housekeeping and linen activities
