NHS Solutions has an immediate and urgent need for an Interim ED Director in California. The Interim Director of Emergency Department Nursing Operations and Services is a key leadership role and works with Community Partners to improve emergency care provision across the system. This position is accountable for the strategic direction, quality, performance improvement and the integration of hospital & non-hospital encounters for the entire ED Service Line. The Interim ED Director also directs patient outcome activities for the ED service line, including but not limited to risk mitigation, safety, infection control, evidence-based practice and deliver a Lean process of workflow through delegation & collaboration with all levels of leadership. The Interim ED Director is responsible for implementing customer-validated strategies to assure customer satisfaction and the accomplishment of financial and non-financial goals while building and enhancing relationships with community leaders, medical staff leaders and cross functional leaders. This role directly reports to the Chief Nurse Executive and is responsible for ensuring initiatives and activities to meet rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, federal agencies, and accrediting bodies.
- Bachelor’s – B.S.N. required
- Master’s in Business, Health Care Administration, Clinical Services or Nursing strongly preferred
- California RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS Required
- Five years of relevant nursing experience of which three years are experience in a progressively responsible management/leadership position, in a comparable size acute care and multi-system facility. General business and budget experience required.
