NHS Solutions has a new opportunity for an Interim Nurse Leader in PeriOp. The Director of Perioperative & Procedural Services assumes responsibility for maintaining a high quality, comprehensive program for the Perioperative and Procedural services. The successful candidate will plan, organize and direct the functions and activities of the assigned Perioperative and Procedural areas including pre-anesthesia, pre-operative, Operating Room, PACU, CVPA, Surgery Centers, and Endoscopy services. Work collaboratively with the COO/CNO to develop standards of practice and performance within the assigned areas. Develop nursing, technical and allied health care provider quality compliance and labor management. Maintain expertise in program and financial aspects of perioperative and procedural services, including pre-anesthesia, pre-operative, Operating Room, PACU, Sterile Processing, and Endo. Refer issues requiring interpretation, or clarification of hospital policy or practice to the COO/CNO for resolution.
In additions, the Interim Director PeriOp & Procedural Services will collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer, Chief of Surgery, Chief of Anesthesia and other physicians to identify program and system needs. Coordinate with Administration and Medical Staff in the development of strategic goals for the department, involvement in clinical research, education of staff, enhancement of relationships with office practices. Promote and ensure patient satisfaction while maintaining quality and cost-effective care.
