23093049 – Interim Manager (Associate Chief Technologist)

NHS Solutions has an interesting Interim Manager role available. Our client is looking for an individual to work primarily in a non-clinical capacity but with the ability to work in a chief nuclear technologist capacity when needed. The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Technologist, providing direct supervision to Nuclear Medicine Technologists, serve as a nuclear medicine expert to independently review, update, and streamline departmental procedures. The Interim Manager will be an essential allied health professional dedicated to the safe and effective use of radionuclides for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes across all age groups.

Key responsibilities include:

• A wide range of tasks, including patient interviews, care, and instruction, as well as the preparation, calibration, and administration of radiopharmaceutical compounds.
• The opportunity to handle, prepare, and administer adjunctive medications under direct MD supervision, while executing patient imaging and therapeutic procedures with the aid of computer processing and image enhancement.
• Laboratory testing will also be part of your repertoire. Radiation safety is paramount in this role, and you will apply your expertise in radiation physics and safety regulations to minimize radiation exposure for the general public, patients, fellow workers, and yourself, adhering to the principle of “as low as reasonably achievable” (ALARA).
